It’s the week after an amazing transformation event at the Fitpreneurs: True Transformation Ranch here in San Diego, and I must say it was one of the best experiences for me this year so far.
The more I run events, the more I grow. In August I returned from the Platinum Mastermind in Bali, and that too was an amazing experience.
I thought I would write a post sharing with you some of the top reasons why you should run events for your business and how that will impact the connection with your clients, new people coming into your community and the life changing impact you could have on someone.
Ultimate Freedom Live is a 3 day event that I last put on in the UK before my move to San Diego. We covered mindset, sales, marketing, leverage, all mixed in with mediations, hot seats and time for integration. All at an amazing location here at the Ranch.
The first event I ran was for my Mastermind in Thailand a few years ago. I’ve learned so much by holding events… here’s what I’ve learned.
1. Events Get You Out Of Your Comfortzone
It’s no big secret that holding events will stretch you as a person, as a leader. You’re forced to stand in front of people and present your knowledge. This means you stepping into a new level of confidence. This will massively boost your confidence over time.
If you don’t have the confidence right now, sign up to some speaker training, head to a toastmasters and start to develop the skills, because you will be rewarded.
2. Events Connect At A New Level With Your Audience
There’s something really magic about interacting with your audience in person, especially if you spend a lot of your time working with people online. If you’re used to 1-1, the group environment creates a whole new energy. It gives you the ability bring up topics that open up your clients up and you will often see a new side to them.
3. Events Increases Your Authority & Create More Opportunity
When you speak in front a group, you boost your authority. You now become a ‘speaker’, a ‘presenter’ and you can start to approach new businesses, create more opportunities like TV and radio.
4. Events Help Leverage Your Content For Products, Programs & Social Media Content
Remember that when you put on a event, you can film the content. This is great for a number of reasons. The first one is that you can use this, edit it and repurpose this for content in your programs, free gifts to grab name / email addresses. In addition, when you are filmed presenting, it’s even better than providing face to camera content. From that you can also take the audio and post it on places like Soundcloud, you can then take the video or audio and create blog content, create an ebook. Whenever you have an event, make sure you leverage what you’re talking about and use it again!
5. Events Help Ascension Into Your Other Programs / Products
When you speak, when you do a great job at speaking, naturally your audience will want to purchase more from you and this is because of the amount of trust that you build. The longer your events, the more trust you will build if you connect, if you provide valuable content and if they feel that you care about them.
6. Events Create A New Level Of Transformation
What i’ve noticed over time is that when people understand that they aren’t the only one with the same challenges, people start to let go. At Fitpreneurs events I’ve seen tears, breakthroughs, life changing moments where relationships was re-built, clients are new versions when leaving from when they walked in the door. The more you learn, the more you understand the brain, the more change you can create.
I hope you found this useful.
